“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page.” – Saint Augustine
“Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends.” – Maya Angelou
I love to travel. I have had the great fortune to visit 41 of the 50 United States; many Caribbean Islands; and some portion of 5 of the 7 continents to include nearly a dozen Africa countries, Cuba, Dubai, Egypt, several countries in Europe, and a few countries in Central and South America. As the consummate student. I found each destination has its unique flavor which makes the experience incredible. I also found that as my son so eloquently said to me, "Each place you've visited you took your energy (knowledge or the business, and the connection) and you brought a piece of it back with you (food, traditions, art, and culture)." That has made me a better person. More accepting, more flexible and more open to appreciating the beauty of people and the magnificence of this planet.
I hope this encourages you to take moments (Life Breaks) to map and pursue your journey to see the world.
